There are various stipulated requirements which differ slightly depending on whether the student is over the age of 18 or under the age of 18. The following documents are prerequisites for any Study Visa application:

This visa may be issued in line with the course period of study or in line with the main visa holder when accompanying the parent to South Africa and is renewable in South Africa.

How long does it take for a Study Visa to be processed?
